Torres del Paine – Part 2

Fred here. So…brilliant first few days in Torres del Paine as I mentioned, and much of the same was to come. Although I will say, the last couple of days there were very eye opening. I’ll get to that in a minute. Heading out of Los Cuernos on our way to the French Valley (the middle part of the W), beautiful lake side landscape. Quiet rocky beaches where there was just a small enough lapping of the water against the shore to rattle the rocks. Really great way to start the day. Arriving at Camp Italiano you begin the ascent up to Camp Britanico in that middle part of the W. A steady walk up to the French Valley brings you closer and closer…

Torres del Paine – Part 1

Fred here. It’s been about a week and half since we last checked in. Lots of amazing stuff has happened in that timeframe. It all started with a 15.5 hour bus ride from Ushuaia to Punta Arenas, Chile and then on to Puerto Natales. This would be our base for what was about to be an epic week in Torres del Paine National Park. Upon arriving in Puerto Natales we walked the small backpacker town avoiding packs of stray dogs as we searched for our hostel.
